Come and Play. Prijd’te si hrat
Thursday 1.00 - 2.00pm at St Hugh’s School. This is a drop in session.
Designed for Czech families in order to introduce them to the centre to find out their needs and to offer any relevant support including help with access to early education and preparing children for nursery school or primary school. Support from Czech speakers is available.


Community Physiotherapy
Thursday 9.00am - 12.00pm in the Centre.
This is an outreach of the physiotherapy department of Alder Hey Hospital and appointments should be made via the hospital.

Creative Kids
Tuesday 3.30 - 4.30pm in the Centre. (This is s drop in session)
For children aged 3 to 7. Provides them with the opportunity for messy play, to experience a variety of different materials and to develop their creativity language and fine motor skills.

Explore a Story
Wednesday 1.30 - 2.30pm in the Centre. (Please book via Liz or Siobhan)
This is 5 week course starting on 11 January 2012.
This course is for 2-3 year olds and is designed to prepare them for nursery school by providing a wide variety of learning experiences most of which the parents will be able to reproduce at home.
Punctuality will be required - just as in a school setting.

Family Zumba
Friday 3.30 - 4.30pm at Lawrence Primary School. (This is s drop in session, contact Liz for more information)
For children 3-7. Fun physical activity for parents and children together.

Mother and Child Swim
Thursday 12.45 - 1.15pm at St Anne’s.
All children under 5, though we suggest that if babies this must be cleared by Health Visitors first.
This is a water confidence activity run by trained instructor.

Musical Minis
Wednesday 9.30 - 10.15pam in the Centre. (This is s drop in session)
Music and Movement for children aged 1-3years.

Peep Ones
Starting Monday 9 January 11.00am - 12.30pm in the Centre.
PEEP Ones is for children between the ages of 12 – 24 months. Please see

Rhyme Time
Friday 11.00am - 12.00 at Edge Hill Library. (This is s drop in session)
The Rhyme Time session is held in Edge Hill Library. All children aged 0-5 and their parents/carers are welcome. The session includes songs and rhymes and an opportunity to play musical instruments - making noise and having fun! There is also a story time and themed craft activity to help your child develop listening and concentration skills. There is also opportunity for free play and to choose books. Babies and young children love books, they can join the library from the day they’re born and it’s free!

Sensory Room
Weekdays in the Centre 8.30am - 6.00pm in the Centre. (Please book in advance)
Relaxing fun environment for children of all ages to explore imaginative play and stories with their parents/carer.

Walkers and Talkers
Tuesday 9.45 - 10.45am in the Centre. (Starting 10 January 2012)
Suitable for parents and carers with children who can walk and talk. The session includes action songs, musical instruments, story time, occasional themed activities and free play - an opportunity to have fun and spend quality time together.

Working Parents Group
Last Saturday of each month 9.30 - 11.30am in the Centre. (This is s drop in session)
Fun activities to enjoy with your children 0-5 directed to but not exclusively for, parents who are unavailable during weekday working hours.

Yum Yum Yummy
Monday or Wednesday 3.30 - 11.30am in the Centre.
Two courses, each of 6 weeks starting on either Monday 9th January or
Wednesday 11th January. Please book with Lisa.
Healthy Eating Course for 3-7 year olds. Active participation of parents/carers required. Exploration language, enhancement of fine motor skills.
