Vision
Children’s Centres will play a central role in improving outcomes for all young children, and reducing the inequalities in outcomes between the most disadvantaged children and the rest. Although they need to reflect different local needs, in all areas they will be a central part of a Local Authority’s provision for young children and their families

Mission Statement
At Picton Children’s Centre we are dedicated to improving the life chances of children so that each one, irrespective of their starting point, can achieve their full potential.
We do this by working with families, communities and other professionals so that children can be happy, healthy, inquisitive and constantly learning and so that they can participate and contribute positively to the world.
We will not talk down to families but will listen to what they have to say, try to understand what they want and learn from them.
The centre offers services for children and families gathered together under one roof with easy access. This is a marvelous facility for Picton and we welcome children and families of all nationalities and abilities.
We are always interested to hear your views about our services. Do you have ideas for new groups or activities that you would like to see here at Picton Children’s Centre? Would you like to be more involved in planning our future services?
You are always welcome to call in and speak to a member of the team or you can contact us on
